No hen party is complete without playing a few hen party games to break the ice and get the evening flowing. We’ve compiled a list of our top 5 favourite hen party games, all of which require no equipment, so you can play them almost anywhere at anytime!
1) Which One Is The Lie?
This is a game that everyone can get involved in, and not only will it get everyone involved, it will also reveal some fascinating things about each other!
How to play:
Each person takes it in turns to one by one, reveal two personal facts about themselves. One should be true and one should be a lie. It’s up to the other hens to guess which is which.
Looking to spice things up? Why not include some forfeits for the losers.
2) I Have Never
A great way to bring a group closer together and guaranteed to have people rolling around on the floor in laughter, but perhaps leave it until the mother in law has gone to bed!
How to play:
Gather a group of 5+ people. The more the better. Sit down in a circle and pick one person to go first. That person states something that they have never done. Everyone in the group that has done that before, stands up and takes a sip of their drink. You then go round the circle taking it in turns to state something you have never done. You can build up the severity of the ‘I’ve Nevers’ as the game goes on. Trust us, you’ll never look at your friends in the same way again!
3) Mr & Mrs Quiz
Find out how well she really knows her husband to be with this classic.
How to play:
Prior to the hen part/weekend, ask the groom 10 to 20 questions about himself, the bride and their relationship. At the party, ask the bride to be the same questions and see how many she gets wrong. Make sure to have a forfeit lined up every time she gets one wrong!
4) The Famous Names Game
This one keeps you on your toes and will get everyone thinking and involved.
How to play:
Get everyone in a circle and nominate someone to start the game. That person picks a random famous person and says their name, for example ‘Tom Jones’. The next person in the circle then has to think of a famous person that’s first name starts with the first letter of the last celebrities surname. So in this instance, the letter would be ‘J’ and the next person might say ‘Jason Derulo’. If someone hesitates for more than 5 seconds, they do a shot or take a forfeit.
5) Fuzzy Duck
A fantastic game after a few drinks, this classic is sure to catch you out.
How to play:
Start the game by getting into a circle. One person starts the game by saying “Fuzzy Duck”. The person to their left follows by either saying “Fuzzy Duck” again or saying “Does he?”. If the person says “Fuzzy Duck”, it carries on going around the circle. If the person says “Does he?”, the direction of the game changes and the person to the right must say “Ducky Fuzz”. If someone says “Does he?” again, the direction changes back to the left and you go back to saying “Fuzzy Duck”. This continues until someone screws up or hesitates and that person must drink, do a shot or do a forfeit. Trust us, this one is really hard and the outcome is hilarious!
